Description
Based on simple and intuitive hand management, Heat: Pedal to the Metal puts players in the driver’s seat of intense car races, jockeying for position to cross the finish line first, while managing their car’s speed if they don’t want to overheat. Selecting the right upgrades for their car will help them hug the curves and keep their engine cool enough to maintain top speeds. Ultimately, their driving skills will be the key to victory! Drivers can compete in a single race or use the “Championship System” to play a whole season in one game night, customizing their car before each race to claim the top spot of the podium. They have to be careful as the weather, road conditions, and events will change every race to spice up their championship. Players can also enjoy a solo mode with the Legends Module or add automated drivers as additional opponents in multiplayer games.

Awesome game full of several built in expansions (modules). 4 different maps, beautiful artwork and attention to detail and a super fun game. Bravo!

This game feels fast when you get the rules down like a racing game should. Mechanics are smooth and keep the game moving. If you are looking for a racing game that feels thematic and like you are racing, this is the one to get. Plus there seems to be room in the box for expansions.

Oh Yes!! I waited an entire year until I could find it in stock. Bless you for finally having it in stock. Get pass the quick learning curve, and you will have so much fun. My family and I played it 4 times in one day, because it is so much fun to play. It’s easy to learn, you have to be careful how you play your cards to move your race car. And I loved how it mimics a real racing simulation, from the engine getting hot, to the engine cooling and upshifting/downshifting. Trust me, if you like easy euro’s this will NOT disappoint. And I like how the rulebook walks you through up the ante, start easy, learn it, then start adding modules and more difficulty as you get better at it. And the automa cards: WOW!!! They make the game even better.

Can be played in 90 or less minutes with 3 players. Great game. Played my copy over 10 times now

While learning this board game for my gaming group, I discovered that this is probably one of the best solo, or single-player, board games ever made. I am not a huge fan of solo games, but I had a blast with this one. The AI player is easy and fast to play and very ruthless. The game really delivers on the feeling and stress of racing, where every decision you make will affect the outcome of the race. I will always play with the maximum number of players, substituting any available spots with the AI players. That said, this game does suffer from some poor design decisions and the rules can be confusing to teach. I recommend learning this game ahead of time and just tell everyone to ignore the iconography at the top of the player board. The game is easy to learn, but trying to follow the confusing iconography diminishes the speed and enjoyment of the game. I am looking forward to more cars, maps, and variants.

Quality components. Easy to learn. Good replayability. Fun for any number of players (1-6) because of the “legends” robot players. Good value for the money.
