The 10 Minute Party Game that’s Different Every Time!

One Night Ultimate Daybreak

One Night Ultimate Daybreak is a classic game that is great for quick rounds, & to play over and over!

One Night Ultimate Daybreak is a fast-paced game for 3-7 players where everyone is dealt a secret role. Many of these roles have special abilities that will aid that player in gaining information. In the course of only one night and the following morning, the players will determine who among them is a werewolf…hopefully. There’s no elimination, and each game lasts about 10 minutes.

B4 One Night Ultimate Daybreak

The Ultimate Party Game for 3-7 Players!

Players can join in for just a single game, or stay and play numerous games in a row!

One Night Ultimate Daybreak

No moderator, no elimination, and nowhere to hide!

The One Night games come to life with the amazing free app, that’s just as easy to use as the game is to play! Select the cards you have in the game, press play, and the app walks you through each game…with an irreverant attitude and a lot of charm.

Meet the Good Guys

Witch

The Witch may peek at one of the center cards, and then transform any other player into whatever she sees, by swapping that card with theirs. She can even swap her own Witch card if she thinks that will help her.

Bodyguard

The Bodyguard saves one player. At the end of the game, when everyone points at the player they think is a werewolf, the Bodyguard points too. ..but whoever he points is saved, regardless of what role it is.

Curator

Each game, the Curator gives a mystical artifact to a player. That artifact may cause the player to switch teams, or it may prevent them from talking, or even cause them to turn away from the table for the rest of the game.

Meet the Bad Guys

Alpha Wolf

The Alpha Wolf has the ability to turn any other player into a werewolf. ..without them knowing about it! It’s possible to end up with more werewolves than villager in some games, but all the werewolves have to trust each other to win. ..

Dream Wolf

The Dream Wolf is wayyyyy too tired to be involved in all this werewolf business, so he doesn’t wake up and learn who the other werewolves are. They know who he is though, and are working to keep both themselves and their sleepy friend safe.

Mystic Wolf

The Mystic Wolf may look at any other player’s card to learn what role they have. She can use this information to convince the player he isn’t a werewolf, or possibly to trap that player and make everyone else at the table believe he ‘is’ a werewolf!

Daybreak adds plenty of variety and new roles to One Night Ultimate Werewolf, giving you a greater variety in customizing the game and fine tuning balance issues. While it technically works as a stand-alone game, I do not recommend it without the base game as the base One Night Ultimate Werewolf is designed with no other cards in mind and is better on the learning curve (doppleganger aside).Daybreak adds two stronger Werewolf cards – the mystic wolf and the alpha wolf – to help offer variety on the wolf side and buff the team if it isn’t doing well. Additionally, the Dream Wolf card adds a weaker wolf to the mix to handicap team WW should you desire.Town gets several powerful new roles including the Witch and Revealer – both of which are incredibly powerful. Weaker roles like the sentinel, curator, and village idiot are also present, as well as an apprentice seer which functions as a weaker variant on the seer.Paranormal Investigator is a good role and well regarded, but I’m hesitant to try it on smaller games. While I don’t like all of the roles, the revealer is one I want to play with almost every game, as well as the mystic wolf and the alpha wolf. Witch is a lot of fun, but it has a high potential for unbalancing the game as the witch can potentially make another player a werewolf and then out them. This is particularly bad when another town player can confirm that the player is the witch (robber, revealer, and seer can do this).Seriously, though, get Daybreak already. Get the original One Night Ulitmate Werewolf as well.

This a extension pack to the game “one night werewolf” but it can be played by itself. I heard about these games at a retreat and my first though was ” so dumb”. I ended up reading other reviews and ordering it a few years later. Now it’s one of our family’s favorite games. We play is as a family including our little kids ( 5 and 9) for fun and not really following the rules. You definitely can play it with younger kids but it will be more for them than you. :)This game is good for kids 12 and up. The people playing it need to be able to lie and bluff. Our friend’s teenage daughter is amazing at it. She is an amazing young lady and I was baffled at her game face. Our youngest player is usually 11 years old. At that age it’s a hit or miss. They either get it or not.Now that we established the age let’s get to the game. There are multiple characters in the game but in the end it comes down to 2 teams : the viliger and the were wolfs/ vampires ( depending which game you are playing ) We love these games so much we own all the pack and expansions. There is an app for the game which you will need to download in order to play. The game starts by choking which characters you want in the game. You need at least 2 wolfs and enough characters + 3 cards to be placed in the middle. Let’s assume you have 6 players. That means that you would need 9 cards. Every player receives a card and you place 3 in the middle. You may look at your own card but not share it with anybody else. Then everybody places their card face down on the table closes their eyes and the fun begins. The app walks you through a series of actions, for example all werewolfs open their eyes so they can see each other, or one of the characters ( the robber) gets to exchange his card with somebody else’s. After all actions are taken you will be told to open your eyes and atart the investigation. The viligers ( all characters other than werewolf) need to find out the werewolfs and the werewolfs don’t want to be exposed. That means they have to lie and deceive. In the end the group decides who to accause of being a were wolf. If the person accused is indeed a werewolf or vamp the viligers team wins otherwise the werewolf win.

This game is fun to play with kids and family. Not too many pieces and an app that lets everyone participate.

I bought DAYBREAK as my first set into this series, and I love that every character has an action (vs. the original ONE NIGHT WEREWOLF, where some players just sit around the whole time with nothing to do). You don’t need the original as this game can be played as a stand alone. I watched videos online of people playing this game before I bought it (having never played before), and it is a great party game! I have had a nephew struggle to play (not wanting to keep his eyes closed), but that’s just an age thing, where he was 5, but had another 5 year old would be up for it. The game is very short! I love how there is a free app on my phone that does the speaking part for you!!!! A 3 minute game timer was perfect to say are part, and not think too long, in the hopes that whoever is lying may have tricked someone. Any longer, and it may be too obvious. Even with 3 minutes, sometimes we will go ahead and vote early. Here are my app settings if you aren’t sure where to start (you can change to your preference):NARRATION: Male, Vol 10, ENBACKGROUND: Fantasy, Vol 5GAME TIMER: 03:00, 1 Min, 30 SecROLE TIMER: 00:05, 2x Complex RolesOTHER: Lone, Labels, Move, Verbose

Likes: Relatively simple and excellent replay value in a small package. You draw a character blindly (townsperson or werewolf), look at your character, you hear instructions for your character each round and do their role. Then everybody argues about who’s the werewolf. This is fun, because as the game continues you learn strategies for how to deceive people or convince them of whatever you want to convince them. Tactics change. Playing with three people was fun, playing with 6 people was better and more mysterious, even more would get better; the more people, the more characters, the harder to figure out who the werewolf is. Using the app is easy: you push a few buttons and the narrator tells you what to do and runs a timer.Dislikes: I don’t like being dependent on an app. You aren’t, but if you don’t use the app, someone has to read long instructions out loud each time and skip around to find what order to read in. The card art is disney cartoonish and obnoxiously stereotypical in terms of gender and race.

This has become my grandchildren’s favorite fame. I don’t get it – but they sure do. All I can figure out is it teaches them to become convincing liars – which they really get into – seriously, there is critical thinking involved and a lot of convincing acting. When they play it, it becomes loud and boisterous – which they really like.

I thought this was a really fun game.
